This is a project of all 5 main members of Slim Cessna's Auto Club (SCAC): J Munly, Slim Cessna, Lord Dwight Penacost, Rebecca Vera and Andrew Warner.

They have toured many times as both Slim Cessna's Auto Club and D.B.U.K. and feel they already have most of the same fans! Munly & the Lupercalians has two drummers and a heavy arty doom feel in parts. 

Slim Cessna’s Auto Club (SCAC) have a really long history in original Denver punk/ post punk scene dating back to Slim’s first band "the Denver Gentlemen" that also included David Eugene Edwards (16 Horsepower & now Wovenhand). While the band is called SCAC (name started kinda in humor), it’s actually a collective of four artists: Slim, Dwight, Rebecca & Munly J. Munly. Both Dwight and Rebecca were in 16 Horsepower and then there is J. Munly who is the most bizarre and prolific of them all.  

Besides SCAC, they have two other bands… D.B.U.K. and Munly & the Lupercalians. Munly is actually sole songwriter for all three bands. As I’ve slowly learned, Lupercalia is a fictional world that Munly has created and is now being put to written word as a series of stories/ novels. Munly is an amazing and prolific artist and it’s taken me like 4-5 years of working with him to fully grasp and understand what a massive undertaking & literary world he is in. 

On the music side, Munly & Lupercalians have a finished but unreleased album in can with artwork, SCAC are now recording an album now and then DBUK will record next. All three albums will be released individually and are tales of Lupercalia but long term goal is to release a box set of all three together with Munly’s first novel that has these tales and characters in the songs on these three albums.
